Table height is the specification most often ignored and it is the one that decides whether a child can play at all. Full-size tables sit around 31 to 32 inches, which is roughly chest height on a six-year-old. Playing with arms raised is tiring and they cannot generate any power.

Where to put it
Practical positioning
- Near a power outlet. The blower runs constantly during play. A table trailing an extension lead across a walkway is a hazard in a game that involves people moving quickly.
- Away from bedrooms and offices. The blower drone carries further than people expect, and it runs for as long as the table is on.
- On a firm, level floor. Thick carpet makes leveling difficult and can partly obstruct the airflow intake underneath on some designs.
- With the ends clear. Players stand at the ends and move laterally along them. Side clearance is for walking past; end clearance is for playing.
